Known worldwide for their classic Spoked-B logo, the Boston Bruins have become synonymous with the iconic design. However, the origin of this logo is not as straightforward as one might expect.
A Quarter-Century Transformation
Surprisingly, the Spoked-B logo did not grace the Bruins' jerseys until a quarter-century after the team's inception. For their first 25 years, the Bruins used various logos, including a simple "B" and a bear's head.
It was not until the 1924-25 season that the Spoked-B logo was introduced. The design, created by George V. Brown, featured a stylized "B" with spokes radiating outward, representing the speed and power of the team.
The Spoked-B logo quickly became a fan favorite and has remained the team's primary logo to this day, undergoing only minor modifications over the years.
