Usyk captures Fury's WBC and lineal titles to become boxing's first four-belt heavyweight champion

Tyson Fury suffered a split-decision points defeat on a dramatic night in Saudi Arabia as Oleksandr Usyk became boxing's first four-belt heavyweight champion.

Usyk, who entered the fight with the WBA, IBF and WBO belts, captured Fury's WBC and lineal titles to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

The Ukrainian southpaw put on a masterclass in boxing, outclassing Fury with his superior speed, footwork and accuracy.

"I've prepared for this for 22 years," Usyk said after the fight. "The undisputed heavyweight title fight is finally at hand."

Fury was gracious in defeat, paying tribute to Usyk's performance.

"He was the better man on the night," Fury said. "I'm not going to make any excuses. I'll be back."

The victory is a major upset, with Fury having been the heavy favorite going into the fight.

Usyk is now the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, and one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world.
