Cowboys, Running Back Agree To New Deal
Elliott returns to Dallas after one season in New England
Ezekiel Elliott is back with the Dallas Cowboys after one season with the New England Patriots. The Cowboys and Elliott agreed to terms on a contract on Monday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.
Elliott, 27, rushed for 642 yards and three touchdowns on 184 carries in 15 games for the Patriots last season. He also caught 12 passes for 78 yards.
Elliott's return to Dallas comes after the Cowboys lost running back Tony Pollard in free agency. Pollard, who replaced Elliott as Dallas' feature back last year, signed with the Tennessee Titans after back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
